Review – Abraham-Hicks Daily Planning Calendar
If you’re looking for a way of keeping your life organised while getting uplifting advice and inspiration each day, then the Abraham-Hicks Daily Planning Calendar
could be perfect for you!
It is about 5 inches in length (slightly less in width), and features a ‘page a day’ design. Each page is double-sided; one side features a quote (or quotes) from the Abraham material, and the other side has a day planner which you can fill in with your activities. It’s a day planner with a difference however, as it has two columns – the first for a regular ‘to do’ list, and the second for ‘Things I Intend to Be, Do and Have’, while at the bottom of the page is an area where you can answer the question ‘Why do I Want It?’, which is a great way of bringing greater clarity and focus to your desire. In this way you stay focused on your larger goals and values as well as keeping track of the minutiae of your day to day life. When I first used my calendar I was doing Abraham’s ‘placemat process’, which involves making two lists each day – one normal ‘to do’ list, and one list of things for the universe to take care of, so I modified it slightly and wrote my list of things for the universe to do in the right hand column.
The other unusual feature of this calendar is that it doesn’t start on January 1st – instead you fill in the date yourself, so you can begin at any time of the year, which makes it very flexible.
In addition to being a calendar, this is also a workbook (its full description is ‘Abraham-Hicks Daily Planning Calendar and Workbook for a One Year Study of Spiritual Practicality’). As mentioned earlier, each page features some material from Abraham’s books or workshops, and the idea is that it starts off with the basics, and then builds on that throughout the year, until after 365 days you’ll have a thorough understanding of what Abraham’s ideas involve, and will have benefited by applying them along the way. Of course you could just read one of their books and get it all much more quickly, but the advantage of the calendar is that it’s delivered in bite-size chunks that are not overwhelming, and it’s easier to focus on and apply just one core concept each day.
I really recommend this calendar to anyone who is interested in Abraham’s teachings. Some of the quotations refer to attracting wealth, and all of them enhance your understanding of law of attraction and the other universal laws, which will make attracting money and anything else much easier. By writing out and visualising your wealth goals each day, you also give valuable reinforcement to your creative intent. Even when you’ve used the planner pages these extracts on the other side of each page still offer a valuable resource. I stopped doing a ‘to do’ list quite a while back, but I still like to use the calendar for the quotations. It also makes a fantastic gift at any time of the year!
